Morton Gould: Yankee Doodle–fun, imaginative and with a slight nod to Ives
David Gillingham: Heroes Lost and Fallen–music which reminds of things we need to be reminded of
Aaron Copland: Symphony No. 3–wonderful melodies and the Fanfare for the Common Man incorporated into the last movement
Leonard Bernstein: Overture to Candide–quintessential LB
